Thanksgiving

Well we just got back into town after spending the week with my family down in St George. We hadn't seen my parents since our wedding, so we were so excited to be able to spend a few days down there with them. I love Thanksgiving, I love being with family, eating delicious food, and of course it is a great reminder of all that is going right in our lives. I have to say the highlight of this Thanksgiving had to be my mamas cooking though. I don't know how she does it, her rolls just melt in your mouth, and she makes the most delicious pies, and I just want to take a bath in her mashed potatoes and gravy... maybe thats TMI but if you have ever had my mothers cooking you know what I mean. Of course coming in a close second is the Gildea family shirts. My father has impeccable taste. A wonderful tradition, some of my most favorite shirts came from this.

Anyways we were sad we could only stay for a few days, but we are grateful for the time we did have.

Since our return we have been busy busy putting up the Christmas decorations. I decided to surprise Robert with a 6 foot tree instead of the baby 3 footer I had previously promised him. For those of you who don't know Robert, I am married to a Christmas Elf. This man could listen to Christmas music all year round if I would let him. He was so excited when my mom promised us some of her decor that she no longer needed. For weeks he has been asking me "what do you think your mom will give us?" "Do you think there will be a lot?" He is buddy the elf.

He was super pumped to get decorating today.

And when it was all said and done we rewarded ourselves by watching Home Alone and having some peppermint hot chocolate. We are so excited to be spending our first Christmas together. Robert would like to remind everyone that the best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and is getting as ready for Christmas as we are!
